Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Content Moderator to join our dynamic remote team at Pulse Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and appropriateness of user-generated content across our various social media platforms and digital channels. This is a critical function that helps maintain a positive and compliant online environment for our expansive user base. Key Responsibilities
- Review and moderate user-generated content, comments, and posts across all Pulse Nigeria social media platforms and digital properties, ensuring adherence to community guidelines, terms of service, and local regulations.
- Identify and take appropriate action on content that violates policies, including but not limited to hate speech, harassment, misinformation, graphic violence, or spam.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in content moderation, demonstrating excellent judgment in complex and nuanced situations.
- Collaborate with the social media and editorial teams to develop and refine content moderation policies and procedures.
- Provide clear, concise, and empathetic feedback to users regarding content decisions when necessary, upholding transparency and fairness.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in online content, social media platforms, and emerging moderation challenges and technologies.
- Contribute to reports on content moderation activities, identifying patterns, emerging threats, and areas for improvement in policy and process.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of content policy, cultural sensitivities, and platform-specific guidelines.
- Work diligently and independently in a remote environment, managing time effectively to meet moderation targets and deadlines.
- Escalate complex or high-priority issues to senior moderators or management as per established protocols, ensuring timely resolution.

- Ability to speak other Nigerian languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Pidgin English) is a significant advantage.
