Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Content Moderator to join our growing remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, safety, and brand alignment of user-generated content across various Casey’s digital platforms, including social media channels, mobile app reviews, website comments, and community forums. As a Content Moderator, your primary mission will be to protect our brand’s reputation, maintain a positive and respectful online environment for our customers, and ensure compliance with both company guidelines and legal standards.
This remote position requires a high degree of self-motivation, exceptional judgment, and a keen eye for detail. You will be at the forefront of our digital interactions, evaluating diverse forms of content, including text, images, and videos, to identify and address anything that violates our terms of service, promotes misinformation, or is harmful or inappropriate. Key Responsibilities
- Review and moderate user-generated content (text, images, video) across Casey's digital platforms according to established guidelines and policies.
- Identify and address content that violates terms of service, is spam, hateful, explicit, violent, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate.
- Apply critical thinking and sound judgment to make consistent moderation decisions.
- Escalate complex or ambiguous content issues to senior moderators or relevant internal teams (e.g., legal, marketing) as needed.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency in content review.
- Stay updated on content moderation policies, guidelines, and cultural nuances relevant to our user base.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve moderation policies and tools.
- Contribute to a positive team environment, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Document moderation actions and insights to support reporting and analytics.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in content moderation, digital trust and safety, or a related field.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify subtle nuances in content.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to apply complex guidelines consistently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in using content moderation tools and platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and potentially disturbing content appropriately.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with digital collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams).
