Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and manage a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and brand guidelines.
- Oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging content across various formats, including blog posts, articles, social media captions, website copy, email campaigns, video scripts, and interactive experiences.
- Conduct thorough keyword research and SEO analysis to ensure content is optimized for search engines and drives organic traffic.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Brand Marketing, Social Media, PR, SEO, Product, Design) to ensure content consistency and integrate content efforts across all touchpoints.
- Manage content calendars, editorial pipelines, and ensure timely delivery of all content initiatives.
- Analyze content performance using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and future strategy.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging content marketing best practices to keep Zalando at the forefront of innovation.
- Champion Zalando's brand voice and tone across all content outputs.
- Identify and manage external content creators, agencies, or freelancers as needed.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing customer experience and brand loyalty through content.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or a related field, preferably within e-commerce or fashion.
- Demonstrable experience in developing and executing successful content strategies that drive engagement and conversions.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong command of English (C2 level or native).
- Proficiency in SEO best practices and content optimization techniques.
- Strong understanding of various content formats and distribution channels.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation platforms.
- Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights from content performance metrics.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant content marketing work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Knowledge of German language (B2 level or higher) is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies for content optimization.
- Experience with video content creation and strategy.
- Strong understanding of the European fashion market and customer preferences.
- Experience with influencer marketing or community management.
