As a crucial member of our on-site crew, you will play an essential role in ensuring project efficiency, safety, and successful completion. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians, etc.) with various tasks on construction sites.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth.
- Assemble and disassemble temporary structures, such as scaffolding or barricades.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform general labouring duties as required to support site operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Brandon area.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Punctuality and dependability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (3-6 months) in a construction or manual labour role.
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver’s license.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- WHMIS certification.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
