Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior compliance officers in monitoring, identifying, and assessing compliance risks across various banking functions.
  • Conduct research on new and existing financial regulations (local and international) to ensure Bank Leumi's policies remain up-to-date.
  • Support the preparation of compliance reports and documentation for internal review and submission to regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of compliance training programs for bank employees.
  • Review and analyze transactions, customer accounts, and internal processes for adherence to AML (Anti-Money Laundering), CTF (Counter-Terrorism Financing), and other relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of compliance activities, investigations, and communications.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including legal, risk management, and operations, to address compliance-related queries and issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Hebrew and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated strong ethical compass and integrity.
  • Capacity to learn quickly and adapt to changing regulatory landscapes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience in a financial institution, legal firm, or a regulatory body.
  • Basic understanding of financial products, banking operations, or regulatory frameworks.
  • Certification or coursework in compliance, risk management, or anti-money laundering.
