Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of communication strategies and campaigns.
- Draft, edit, and proofread various communication materials, including press releases, internal memos, social media content, and website updates.
- Support the management of Safaricom's social media channels and digital presence.
- Conduct research and compile reports on media coverage, industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Help organize and coordinate corporate events, press conferences, and internal meetings.
- Assist with media monitoring and maintaining media contact lists.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and ensure consistent messaging.
- Maintain communication archives and databases.
- Provide administrative support to the communications department as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital communication.
Preferred Qualifications
