Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to understand their financial needs and objectives.
- Educate clients on various loan products, terms, and conditions, ensuring transparency and comprehensive understanding.
- Gather and analyze financial information, credit histories, and other relevant data to assess loan eligibility and risk.
- Prepare comprehensive loan applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Negotiate loan terms and conditions with clients, striving for mutually beneficial agreements.
- Collaborate closely with underwriters, appraisers, and legal teams to facilitate efficient loan processing and closing.
- Ensure strict adherence to all federal, state, and local lending laws and regulations, including consumer protection laws.
- Actively participate in business development activities, including networking, community engagement, and cross-selling other financial products.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly loan origination targets and other performance metrics.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, interest rates, and competitor offerings to provide informed advice to clients.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in loan origination or a related financial services role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and customer service standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and assess creditworthiness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in loan origination software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Thorough understanding of lending principles, loan products, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct and customer privacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- NMLS license (if applicable for specific loan types).
- Existing network of professional contacts in the Kapolei, Hawaii area.
- Experience with both residential and commercial lending.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Hawaiian, Tagalog, or Japanese) is a plus.
