Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
- Operate point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and other transactions.
- Stock shelves, rotate products, and maintain clean and organized displays, ensuring products are fresh and easily accessible.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries, unpacking stock, and preparing items for the sales floor.
- Maintain high standards of store cleanliness and hygiene, including aisles, checkouts, and backroom areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe environment for customers and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational goals and provide mutual support.
- Process online orders for customer pick-up or delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely preparation.
- Assist with special promotions, merchandising changes, and seasonal displays as required.
- Learn and adapt to new products, procedures, and technologies to continuously improve service delivery.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and counting inventory
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in a retail, hospitality, or customer service role
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
