Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional, friendly customer service, assisting shoppers with inquiries, product locations, and purchases.
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently, processing cash, credit, and other transaction types.
  • Receive, unload, and stock merchandise, ensuring proper rotation, accurate pricing, and visually appealing displays according to company standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment at all times, including aisles, checkout areas, and backroom facilities.
  • Assist with comprehensive inventory management, including counting stock, processing returns, managing damages, and preparing for incoming deliveries.
  • Support promotional activities and merchandising efforts to enhance sales, drive customer engagement, and create an exciting shopping atmosphere.
  • Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with team members and management to achieve daily operational goals and provide mutual support.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations to ensure a secure and compliant workplace.
  • Develop and apply thorough product knowledge to inform customers, address concerns, and support their purchasing decisions.

Required Skills

  • Strong customer service and outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs regularly and safely.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods throughout a shift.
  • Proven reliability, strong work ethic, and punctuality.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (6+ months) in a retail or customer service role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating a point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and handling procedures (if applicable to store concept).
  • A proactive, positive, and adaptable attitude with a strong team-player mindset.
