Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Automate deployment, configuration, and operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable software delivery.
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost optimization, implementing proactive measures and incident response.
  • Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams to integrate cloud solutions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on cloud best practices, architectural patterns, and emerging technologies.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions.
  • Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Document technical designs, operational procedures, and support information.
  • Stay current with new cloud technologies and trends, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Strong understanding of core cloud services (compute, storage, networking, databases, security).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
  • Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, firewalls, load balancers).
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, GCP Cloud Functions).
  • Knowledge of observability tools (monitoring, logging, tracing) like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and on-premise integration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
