Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements from diverse business stakeholders using various techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, surveys).
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flows for technical and development teams.
- Act as a liaison between business users, project managers, and technical delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify discrepancies between current state and desired future state, proposing effective solutions.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, presentations, and reviews to ensure alignment and obtain necessary approvals.
- Participate in solution design, testing, and deployment activities, ensuring delivered solutions meet business requirements.
- Support change management efforts by assisting in the creation of training materials and user documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies within client organizations.
- Monitor and analyze project progress, proactively identifying risks and issues, and escalating as appropriate.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices and methodologies within Cognizant.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a professional services or corporate environment.
- Proven ability to elicit, analyze, and document complex business requirements.
- Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in creating clear and concise documentation (e.g., BRDs, FSDs, user stories, process flows).
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, client-facing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with specific tools such as Jira, Confluence, or other requirements management platforms.
- Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, CSPO, or equivalent.
- Experience in the financial services, healthcare, or retail industries.
- Familiarity with data analysis techniques and tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Exposure to digital transformation projects or cloud-based solutions.
