Beyond maintaining current business, a key aspect of this role is identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding Coca-Cola’s footprint and market share in the competitive Omaha market. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a designated sales territory, developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Execute sales calls to retail and food service accounts, including grocery stores, convenience stores, restaurants, and other outlets.
- Secure orders for Coca-Cola products, ensuring proper product mix and inventory levels.
- Implement merchandising standards, including display setup, shelf placement, and point-of-sale material installation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence and achieve sales targets.
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, and product placement with account decision-makers.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activities to develop effective sales strategies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage and maintain accurate customer records and sales reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., delivery, marketing) to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in sales or customer service, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and persuasive abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with merchandising.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Previous experience in the beverage or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
- Knowledge of local Omaha market geography and customer base.
- Experience with handheld sales devices or CRM software.
