Coca-Cola Canada Bottling Limited is seeking a dedicated Inventory Clerk to join our vibrant team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. You will be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, managing stock levels, and facilitating the timely receipt and dispatch of goods. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cycle counts and reconcile any discrepancies found in physical inventory versus system records, ensuring high levels of accuracy.
- Accurately receive, label, and store incoming products, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to quality control procedures and company standards.
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments, verifying product counts and ensuring proper packaging and loading for delivery to various clients.
- Maintain organized and accessible inventory storage areas, ensuring proper stock rotation (First-In, First-Out) and optimal space utilization to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels proactively and report on shortages, overages, or damaged goods to management, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (if certified) safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and training requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory data, identifying and correcting errors to maintain data integrity across all inventory management systems.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse, logistics, and sales teams to improve inventory management processes and overall operational efficiency.
- Assist with periodic physical inventory counts and year-end inventory reconciliation efforts, providing support and accurate data collection.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field, demonstrating foundational knowledge.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) for data entry and analysis.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage complex inventory systems effectively.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact clearly with team members and management.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems).
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or certification in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in the food and beverage industry, understanding product handling and rotation best practices.
