Key Responsibilities

  • Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, stack, and retrieve products.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers, ensuring proper securing of freight and accurate product count.
  • Stage finished goods and raw materials for shipment or storage, optimizing warehouse space.
  • Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and other material handling equipment, reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns.
  • Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests and purchase orders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in inventory counts and help manage stock rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out).
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including manual lifting of cases when necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency and meet daily production targets.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a certified forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution setting.
  • Valid forklift operator certification.
  • Proficiency in operating various forklift types (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
  • Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail for inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in the food or beverage industry.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Experience operating electric pallet jacks.
