Job Description

RBC is seeking a highly motivated and client-focused Client Experience Advisor to join our dedicated team at the Signal Hill branch in Calgary. As a Client Experience Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for many of our valued clients, playing a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships. You will provide comprehensive financial advice and solutions, addressing client needs ranging from everyday banking transactions to more complex financial planning discussions. This role is far more than just processing transactions; it’s about understanding client goals, proactively identifying opportunities to help them succeed financially, and connecting them with the right resources and specialists within RBC. You will be instrumental in educating clients on our innovative digital banking solutions, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to manage their finances effectively. You will engage with clients in person, over the phone, and through digital channels, ensuring a seamless and positive experience across all touchpoints. Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients in a friendly, professional, and proactive manner to identify their financial needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Process a variety of banking transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, bill payments, and transfers.
  • Educate clients on RBC's digital banking tools and services, assisting them with setup and usage.
  • Actively listen to client concerns, resolve issues promptly, and escalate complex matters to appropriate specialists when necessary.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to deepen client relationships by introducing relevant products and services, such as credit cards, investments, or lending solutions.
  • Adhere to all operational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
  • Collaborate effectively with branch team members to ensure a cohesive and outstanding client experience.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of RBC products, services, and current financial market trends.
  • Assist clients with opening new accounts, setting up online banking, and general account inquiries.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a client service or customer-facing role.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and build strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and comfort with learning new digital tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and discretion.
  • Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in the financial services or banking industry.
  • Knowledge of investment products, lending, and insurance.
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to the local community (e.g., French, Mandarin, Punjabi).
  • Completion of industry-related courses (e.g., Canadian Securities Course).
