Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to lead our cleaning operations within a prominent public building in Greenwich, London. This pivotal role involves overseeing a team of cleaning operatives, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are consistently met across a dynamic and high-traffic environment. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be instrumental in maintaining a pristine and welcoming atmosphere for thousands of daily visitors and staff, directly contributing to the building’s operational excellence and public perception. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of cleaning operatives to deliver high-quality cleaning services.
- Develop and manage cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas of the public building are covered efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain and improve cleanliness standards, identifying and addressing deficiencies promptly.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper usage.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to team members, including conducting appraisals.
- Liaise effectively with building management and client representatives regarding cleaning requirements and feedback.
- Handle daily operational issues, including staff deployment, absence management, and emergency cleaning tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, staff hours, and inventory.
- Implement new cleaning techniques and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor, preferably within a public building or large commercial environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office for scheduling and reporting).
