Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to lead our cleaning operations within a prominent public building in Greenwich, London. This pivotal role involves overseeing a team of cleaning operatives, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are consistently met across a dynamic and high-traffic environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and motivate a team of cleaning operatives to deliver high-quality cleaning services.
  • Develop and manage cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas of the public building are covered efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain and improve cleanliness standards, identifying and addressing deficiencies promptly.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper usage.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to team members, including conducting appraisals.
  • Liaise effectively with building management and client representatives regarding cleaning requirements and feedback.
  • Handle daily operational issues, including staff deployment, absence management, and emergency cleaning tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, staff hours, and inventory.
  • Implement new cleaning techniques and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor, preferably within a public building or large commercial environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
