Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing bathrooms to hotel standards.
  • Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms, and meeting rooms, ensuring they are always presentable.
  • Execute deep cleaning tasks on a scheduled basis, including floor polishing, window washing, and upholstery cleaning.
  • Manage and replenish cleaning supplies, ensuring all designated areas are adequately stocked and organized.
  • Properly handle and dispose of waste and recyclable materials in accordance with hotel procedures.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately to supervision to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with laundry services as needed, including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel staff, including front desk and kitchen teams, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues, embodying the hotel's welcoming spirit.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistently high standard for cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong, consistent work ethic.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment operation.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience (6+ months) in hotel or office cleaning, or a similar hospitality role.
  • Familiarity with various cleaning techniques and equipment specific to the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to cleaning operations.
  • Proficiency in French or Lingala is a significant advantage for communication with guests and staff.
  • A proactive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.
