Job Description
Hiltop Suites is actively seeking a diligent, dedicated, and highly motivated Cleaner – Facility/Maintenance to join our esteemed team in Utako, Abuja. As a Cleaner, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all areas of the hotel – including but not limited to guest rooms, various common areas, administrative offices, and essential back-of-house facilities – are impeccably maintained, spotless, and presentable at all times. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming all types of surfaces and floorings throughout the facility.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, restrooms, and kitchen areas, ensuring proper disinfection protocols are followed rigorously.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas, diligently managing recycling according to hotel policies.
- Replenish essential supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, towels, and other consumables as needed in guest rooms and public areas.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors meticulously to ensure a streak-free and sparkling appearance.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, accurately reporting shortages or any necessary repair needs to the immediate supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to all established health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Handle minor maintenance tasks or report any major repair needs promptly and efficiently to the dedicated maintenance department.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is operated safely, correctly, and maintained in excellent working condition.
- Provide support with special cleaning projects, deep cleaning initiatives, or event setups/breakdowns as required.
- Maintain a consistently friendly, professional, and helpful demeanor when interacting with guests and all colleagues.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper, preferably in a commercial, hotel, or hospitality setting (experience is a strong advantage).
- Ability to safely and efficiently handle various cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment.
- Fundamental knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to cleaning operations.
- Strong attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate weights, and stand for extended periods.
