Key Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in the design, planning, and execution of civil engineering projects.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to gather data, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
  • Perform calculations and analyses related to grading, drainage, earthworks, and material quantities.
  • Compile and analyze technical data, reports, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Provide technical support during construction phases, addressing queries and resolving site-related issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving and decision-making processes.

Required Skills

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Civil Technician.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
  • Experience with site supervision and quality control.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GIS software.
  • Knowledge of French (an asset).
  • Experience working on municipal infrastructure projects in Quebec.
