Key Responsibilities
- Perform civil engineering design calculations, analyses, and studies for various infrastructure projects.
- Prepare technical specifications, reports, and detailed engineering drawings using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and construction oversight activities to monitor progress and quality.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Ensure all designs and projects comply with relevant Canadian codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and design methodologies.
- Manage project tasks efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project delivery.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar design software.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, including hydraulics, hydrology, grading, and utility design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multi-cultural environment.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada (or willingness to obtain with company support).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license in a Canadian province or ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
- Experience with Canadian engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
- Previous experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable design practices.
