Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys, collecting data relevant to project progress and quality.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications under supervision.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, identifying potential deviations and proposing solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, local regulations, and quality control procedures on-site.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors.
- Contribute to the resolution of on-site technical issues and challenges.
- Learn and apply Mota-Engil's best practices and methodologies in civil construction.
- Support the documentation and archiving of project-related information.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of civil engineering principles (structures, hydraulics, geotechnical, transportation).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other relevant CAD software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Portuguese.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Valid driver's license (advantageous for site visits).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or relevant project experience in civil construction.
- Familiarity with Mozambican construction standards and regulations.
- Basic knowledge of project management software (e.g., MS Project).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
