Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Support audit activities by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, verifying accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting process improvements.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required by management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accurate reporting.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA certification
- Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Financials)
- Experience in the financial services industry
