Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Petroleum Engineer to join our team in Downtown Hartford. This pivotal role involves contributing to the strategic planning, development, and optimization of our global upstream assets. Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize drilling, completion, and workover programs to maximize recovery and efficiency.
- Perform reservoir characterization, simulation, and forecasting to evaluate hydrocarbon potential and develop depletion strategies.
- Monitor and analyze production performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
- Conduct economic evaluations and risk assessments for new projects and investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling engineers, production operators, and other cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Utilize advanced software and analytical tools for data interpretation and problem-solving.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in petroleum engineering.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in reservoir engineering principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of drilling and production operations.
- Experience with industry-standard reservoir simulation and modeling software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, IPM).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with unconventional resource development (e.g., shale, tight gas).

- Project management experience or certification.
