Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize drilling, completion, and workover programs to maximize recovery and efficiency.
  • Perform reservoir characterization, simulation, and forecasting to evaluate hydrocarbon potential and develop depletion strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze production performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
  • Conduct economic evaluations and risk assessments for new projects and investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling engineers, production operators, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize advanced software and analytical tools for data interpretation and problem-solving.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in petroleum engineering.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in reservoir engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong understanding of drilling and production operations.
  • Experience with industry-standard reservoir simulation and modeling software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, IPM).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering.
