Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of marine equipment, machinery, and systems on vessels and offshore facilities.
  • Support senior engineers in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues related to marine operations.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of scheduled maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify potential failures, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, maintenance logs, and inventory management for marine spare parts.
  • Contribute to the implementation of Chevron's Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) and safety procedures.
  • Learn and apply relevant industry standards, codes, and best practices in marine engineering.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize operational efficiency and resolve technical challenges.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through training programs and mentorship opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of marine propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and vessel operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or industrial attachment experience in a marine or oil & gas environment.

  • Basic understanding of offshore drilling and production operations.
