Chevron is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Specialist to join our dynamic team in Bunker Hill, Waterbury. You will be instrumental in the full lifecycle management of our environmental programs, from development and implementation to ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives. This includes a broad spectrum of responsibilities spanning air quality management, water quality protection, comprehensive waste management strategies, and the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and maintain accurate environmental permits, reports, and documentation for regulatory agencies.

  • Liaise with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies on environmental matters.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in environmental compliance and management, preferably within the oil & gas, manufacturing, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., CAA, CWA, RCRA, CERCLA, OSHA environmental aspects).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in environmental management systems and data analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant environmental or engineering discipline.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CHMM, P.E., REM).
  • Experience with environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
