Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef and other kitchen staff with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Prepare simple dishes as instructed, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including washing dishes, sanitising workstations, and sweeping floors.
- Support inventory management by assisting with stock rotation, receiving deliveries, and informing staff of low stock.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations (HACCP) to ensure food safety.
- Assist in the proper storage of food items, ensuring correct labelling and temperature control.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient kitchen atmosphere through teamwork and proactive communication.
- Assist with the plating and presentation of dishes as required.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
