Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning a variety of food items.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including workstations, equipment, and storage facilities.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans in a timely and efficient manner.
- Support in receiving and storing kitchen deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and inventory management of stock.
- Help with the general cleaning duties of the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping floors, and emptying trash bins.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food for catering events and daily operations as directed by the head chef.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (even informal) in a kitchen, restaurant, or catering setting.
- Possession of a food handler's permit or certificate.
- Basic understanding of Nigerian cuisine and ingredients.
- A culinary certificate or vocational training in catering/hospitality.
