Job Description

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) looking to make a significant difference in the lives of seniors? Extendicare Preston is actively seeking a motivated, empathetic, and highly skilled individual to join our exceptional care team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In this vital and rewarding role, you will be instrumental in providing direct, hands-on personal care and support to our cherished residents, assisting them with a comprehensive range of daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety are maintained at all times. While the designation ‘Continuing Care Assistant (CCA)’ is widely used within the Canadian healthcare system, we enthusiastically welcome applications from individuals holding a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent qualifications, recognizing the universal value of these skills and the dedication they represent.

As a CNA/CCA at Extendicare Preston, you will be at the very heart of our residents’ daily lives, playing a crucial role in fostering a positive, engaging, and supportive atmosphere. Your responsibilities will extend thoughtfully beyond basic physical care; you will serve as a keen observer of residents’ conditions, meticulously documenting and promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff. Your insights will be invaluable, as you will actively participate in care planning discussions, contributing to tailored care plans that promote individual well-being and independence. If you are deeply passionate about senior care, possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and are committed to upholding the strictest professional standards and ethical guidelines, we strongly encourage you to apply. This role is far more than just a job; it represents a profound chance to genuinely impact lives, providing not only essential medical and personal care but also much-needed comfort, companionship, and expert support to those who need it most within our community. Join us in making every day brighter for our residents.
