Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of catering events, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and buffet stations.
- Transport food, beverages, and equipment safely and efficiently to event locations.
- Ensure proper presentation of food and beverage items according to Blue Plate Catering standards.
- Support event captains and servers during events, including refilling water glasses, replenishing food, clearing plates, and addressing guest needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces, back-of-house areas, and catering equipment throughout events.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with washing dishes, polishing glassware, and general kitchen support as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth event execution and guest satisfaction.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to event management promptly and professionally.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment (up to 30-50 lbs) safely.
- Strong verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
