Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing excellent service throughout their shopping experience.
- Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle various forms of payment, including cash, credit/debit cards, checks, and electronic benefits, ensuring proper change is given.
- Scan, bag, and package groceries carefully and according to customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked checkout area, including shelves and displays near the register.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve minor issues promptly and courteously, escalating complex matters to management.
- Assist customers with finding products, provide store information, and offer assistance with carry-out service when needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, product scanning, and customer service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient store operation.
