Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision.
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
- Answer customer questions about menu items, promotions, and restaurant policies.
- Ensure all orders are entered correctly into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Assist with preparing and serving beverages and other simple food items as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter, dining area, and condiment station.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns with a positive and helpful attitude, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Process refunds and exchanges according to company policy.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery to customers.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Promote a positive and friendly atmosphere for both customers and co-workers.
