Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions using modern Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
- Manage cash, credit card, and loyalty program payments strictly in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, proactively addressing inquiries, and professionally resolving minor customer issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area, ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
- Verify price and product information for accuracy, including accurately weighing produce and other variable-weight items when required.
- Assist customers with bagging their purchases, ensuring their satisfaction from start to finish.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless store operations, particularly during peak hours and busy periods.
- Adhere rigorously to all company policies and procedures, especially those pertaining to cash handling, security, and loss prevention.
- Actively promote special offers, loyalty programs, and ongoing store promotions to enhance customer engagement and sales.
- Perform accurate end-of-day cash reconciliation and complete all required reporting to ensure accountability and financial accuracy.
Required Skills
- Excellent numerical aptitude and proven cash handling skills.
