Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reconciliation of all cash, cheque, and credit card transactions from various registers.
  • Prepare and verify daily bank deposits, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Investigate and resolve any cash discrepancies or variances promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain organized and confidential financial records, including transaction logs, daily reports, and audit trails.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all company cash handling policies, procedures, and security protocols.
  • Order and manage store change funds, ensuring adequate supply for daily operations.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to store management as needed, including filing and data entry.
  • Collaborate effectively with store associates to address and resolve transaction-related inquiries or issues.
  • Operate and maintain office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, and cash counting machines.
  • Contribute to a safe, secure, and positive working environment for all associates.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months of proven experience in cash handling or a similar administrative/financial role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as an effective team member.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity, trustworthiness, and ethical conduct.
  • Solid mathematical aptitude for reconciliation, counting, and basic financial calculations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail cash office or banking environment.
