Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Carpentry Assistant to join our dedicated construction team. As a Carpentry Assistant, you will work closely with experienced carpenters, assisting them in various tasks related to woodwork, framing, finishing, and general site operations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled carpenters in all aspects of woodwork, including framing, roofing, installing fixtures, and finishing work.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other materials using hand and power tools under supervision.
- Prepare work areas by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Clean and maintain carpentry tools and equipment to ensure their longevity and safe operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, clearing debris, and disposing of waste materials.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team.
- Perform general labor duties as needed to support overall construction project requirements.
- Learn and apply new carpentry techniques and skills as directed by lead carpenters.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
