Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Provide mobility support, assisting residents with transfers, walking, and exercises as needed.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with self-administration as per care plans.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional health to the nursing staff.
- Engage residents in meaningful social and recreational activities to promote well-being and reduce isolation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for residents.
- Document care provided and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with residents, their families, and the healthcare team.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting and assisting with mobility.
- Willingness to commit to a comprehensive training program.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect residents' privacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a caregiving role or working with seniors (e.g., as a Personal Support Worker, Health Care Aide, Nursing Assistant).
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.

- Experience in a long-term care or residential setting.
