Sobeys Gas Bar in North End, Halifax is seeking a dedicated and energetic Car Wash Bay Attendant to join our dynamic team for immediate hire. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide clear instructions on car wash procedures and available services.
- Monitor car wash bay operations, ensuring equipment functions correctly and bays are clean and safe for use.
- Perform routine cleaning of car wash bays, equipment, and surrounding areas to maintain a high standard of hygiene and appearance.
- Assist customers with payment systems, activate wash cycles, and troubleshoot minor issues with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Conduct daily checks on cleaning solutions and water pressure, reporting any maintenance needs to management promptly.
- Manage and maintain inventory of car wash supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for customers and colleagues.
- Contribute to a positive team environment, supporting colleagues and upholding Sobeys' commitment to excellent service.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor environment, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring bays are spotless and equipment is well-maintained.

- Reliability and punctuality are essential for shift coverage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service, retail, or automotive service environment is an asset.
