As a Canadian Tire Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our logistical efforts, ensuring that goods reach their destination efficiently and intact. Your day will involve carefully loading, transporting, and unloading shipments, strictly adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. You will navigate established routes, maintain accurate delivery logs, and communicate effectively with dispatch and receiving personnel. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Load and unload merchandise, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit.
  • Follow planned delivery routes and schedules, adapting to unforeseen delays or changes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or issues.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Canadian Tire professionally.
  • Ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class C (or equivalent) Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience in a delivery or commercial driving role
  • Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and routes in the Kuna area
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items (up to 50 lbs) regularly
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of professional delivery driving experience
  • Experience with route optimization software or GPS systems
  • Familiarity with various types of delivery vehicles
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting
