Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team in Downers Grove, IL. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and managing correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Assist with the full cycle recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating background checks.
  • Support new employee onboarding by preparing orientation materials, coordinating first-day logistics, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Assist with payroll processing by verifying employee data, tracking attendance, and processing changes.
  • Generate HR reports and analytics as needed, providing data-driven insights to the HR team.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, contributing to continuous improvement in HR processes.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of all employee information and sensitive HR data.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) data entry and management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
