Job Description
Caritas Development Kikwit is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Campaign Manager to lead our critical Awareness Drives across the Kwilu Province. This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing campaigns aimed at promoting public health, education, environmental protection, and social cohesion within local communities. The Campaign Manager will be responsible for developing engaging and culturally sensitive communication strategies, coordinating with local leaders and volunteers, and ensuring the effective dissemination of vital information. You will play a crucial role in fostering behavioral change, increasing community participation in our programs, and enhancing the overall impact of our humanitarian and development initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive campaign strategies and action plans for various awareness initiatives (e.g., hygiene promotion, child vaccination, sustainable agriculture practices).
- Oversee the end-to-end management of awareness campaigns, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline adherence.
- Design and produce culturally appropriate communication materials (e.g., posters, radio spots, community theatre scripts, flyers) in local languages.
- Coordinate and train local community mobilizers, volunteers, and field staff on campaign objectives and messaging.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local authorities, media outlets, and partner organizations.
- Monitor campaign progress, collect feedback from target audiences, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions against set indicators.
- Prepare detailed reports on campaign performance, outcomes, and lessons learned for internal stakeholders and donors.
- Ensure all campaign activities align with Caritas Development Kikwit’s values, ethical guidelines, and donor requirements.
- Manage campaign budgets responsibly, ensuring cost-effectiveness and transparency in financial expenditures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in campaign management, public relations, or community mobilization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French.
- Strong project management abilities, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and disseminating communication materials.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
- Budget management and financial reporting skills.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and report writing.
- Strong leadership, team coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience working with NGOs or community-based organizations in the DR Congo.
- Fluency in Lingala and/or Kikongo is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with the socio-economic and cultural context of Kwilu Province.
- Experience in behavior change communication (BCC) methodologies.
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
