Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for various dishes, including washing, chopping, and portioning vegetables, fruits, and meats.
  • Assist cooks in the preparation of daily meals, adhering to recipes, dietary restrictions, and portion control guidelines.
  • Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., slicers, blenders, mixers).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, including regular cleaning of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
  • Monitor and manage food inventory, including proper storage, rotation, and labeling of food items to minimize waste.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP principles, provincial health regulations).
  • Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries of food and kitchen supplies.
  • Support dishwashing and general kitchen cleanup duties as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service operations.
