Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and results-oriented Business Development Executive to join our corporate team in Ikeja GRA, Lagos. This pivotal role is focused on aggressive client acquisition and expanding Verraki Partners’ market presence within Nigeria’s vibrant and growing economy. The successful candidate will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strong relationships with prospective clients, and securing new projects that align with Verraki’s strategic objectives in technology, advisory, and professional services. You will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from meticulous lead generation and qualification to sophisticated proposal development, persuasive negotiation, and ultimately, closing deals. This role requires close collaboration with our consulting and technical teams to craft compelling, value-driven solutions that address complex client challenges. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through extensive market research, active networking, and proactive cold outreach campaigns.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive client acquisition strategies aligned with Verraki Partners’ aggressive growth targets and strategic priorities.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective clients at various organizational levels, including C-suite executives.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to deeply understand client challenges and effectively position Verraki's bespoke solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling, customized proposals, presentations, and pitches that clearly articulate value and address client requirements.
  • Negotiate contract terms, manage objections, and close sales deals to consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Collaborate closely with internal consulting, technology, and marketing teams to ensure seamless client engagement, solution design, and delivery.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to continuously inform and refine business development strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress within the CRM system.
  • Represent Verraki Partners at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record of 4+ years in business development, sales, or client acquisition within the professional services or technology sector.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade senior stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on value-based selling.
  • Ability to strategically identify, qualify, and cultivate new business relationships from scratch.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a robust pipeline, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of understanding complex business challenges.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and a client-centric approach.
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian business landscape and market dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and key decision-makers in large corporations and public sector organizations.
  • Existing network of high-value contacts within the Nigerian corporate and public sector.
  • Deep understanding of digital transformation, technology consulting, or management consulting services.
  • Certifications in recognized sales methodologies (e.g., SPIN Selling, Challenger Sale, Solution Selling).
