Job Description

Vasakronan is seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team in Stockholm. This role offers flexibility with both Part-Time and Full-Time options available, allowing us to find the perfect fit for a committed professional. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality, safety, and appearance of our commercial and residential properties. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards across our portfolio, addressing tenant requests promptly, and conducting preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of our assets.

You will work autonomously and as part of a team, interacting regularly with tenants, contractors, and other Vasakronan staff. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
  • Respond promptly to tenant service requests and perform necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical malfunctions, plumbing leaks, and structural issues.
  • Assist with general carpentry, painting, and plastering tasks as needed.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and projects, ensuring work is completed to Vasakronan's standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage and maintain building security systems, including access control and alarm systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of mechanical rooms, storage areas, and common spaces.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants and address their concerns professionally.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Proven experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and climbing.
  • Valid Swedish driving license (B-körkort).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Swedish and English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic computer proficiency for work order systems and communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant vocational training or certification in building technology, property management, or a related trade.
  • Experience with building automation systems (BAS).
  • Knowledge of Swedish building codes and regulations.
  • First aid and fire safety training.
  • Experience working in a commercial property environment.
