Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and skilled Building Maintenance professional to join our dynamic team in Regina, Saskatchewan. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of building systems, common areas, and exterior grounds to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Execute minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building structures.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from tenants and property management, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct painting, patching, and general upkeep to ensure aesthetic standards are met across properties.
  • Assist in the coordination and oversight of external contractors for specialized repairs or large-scale projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in emergency response efforts, including on-call duties, as required.
  • Operate and maintain various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with tenants and staff.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related trade.
  • Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and occupational health and safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant trade certification (e.g., journeyman status in a specific trade, building operator certificate).
  • Experience with HVAC systems and basic mechanical repairs.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Experience working in a commercial or multi-residential property management setting.
  • Ability to operate light machinery (e.g., snow blower, lawnmower).
