Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement reservoir management strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and optimize production.
- Perform detailed reservoir simulation studies and production forecasting.
- Design and optimize well completions, artificial lift systems, and well interventions.
- Monitor and analyze production performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and troubleshooting operational issues.
- Conduct economic evaluations of projects and recommend optimal development plans.
- Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and drilling engineers to integrate subsurface data and optimize field development plans.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and digital solutions to enhance reservoir performance and efficiency.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and present findings to internal stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in petroleum engineering roles within the oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG) and production optimization tools.
- Strong understanding of reservoir fluid properties, well performance, and production operations.
- Demonstrated ability to perform economic analysis and risk assessment for oil and gas projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering.
- Experience with enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
- Knowledge of digital transformation trends and data analytics in the oil and gas sector.
- Professional engineering licensure or chartership (e.g., CEng).
