Key Responsibilities
- Execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
 - Diagnose faults and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
 - Perform routine inspections and complete detailed maintenance reports and documentation.
 - Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) protocols.
 - Collaborate with operations teams and other technicians to coordinate maintenance activities and optimize plant performance.
 - Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of maintenance strategies.
 - Participate in emergency response drills and provide technical support during incidents.
 - Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
 - Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and data entry.
 
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
 - Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in an industrial maintenance role, preferably within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial sectors.
 - Strong understanding of mechanical systems (pumps, valves, rotating equipment) and/or electrical systems (motors, control panels, instrumentation).
 - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
 - Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
 - Demonstrable commitment to safety and adherence to HSE procedures.
 - Strong communication and teamwork skills.
 - Proficiency in using CMMS software.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
 - Experience with process control systems (DCS, SCADA).
 - Current First Aid and/or Confined Space Entry certifications.
 - Knowledge of relevant UK safety legislation and regulations.
 - Experience working in a COMAH regulated environment.
