Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor process equipment, instruments, and control systems from local panels or central control rooms.
 - Conduct routine checks, inspections, and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
 - Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, deviations, and emergency situations, following established procedures to restore normal operations.
 - Perform start-up, shut-down, and routine adjustments of units and equipment as per operational guidelines.
 - Collect and analyze operational data, making minor adjustments to optimize efficiency and product quality.
 - Participate in the planning and execution of maintenance activities, including equipment isolation and de-isolation.
 - Adhere strictly to all safety, health, environmental, and operational policies, procedures, and regulations.
 - Complete and maintain accurate logbooks, reports, and documentation related to daily operations, equipment status, and incidents.
 - Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
 - Identify and report potential hazards, unsafe conditions, or environmental risks, and actively participate in safety meetings and drills.
 
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
 - Minimum of 3 years of experience in plant operations, manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment
 - Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting
 - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and operational manuals
 - Proficiency in basic computer applications and experience with control systems (DCS, SCADA is a plus)
 - Excellent communication and teamwork skills
 - Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
 - Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in various weather conditions
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Process Technology, Instrumentation, or a related field
 - Previous experience as a Field Operator in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or chemical industry
 - Knowledge of environmental regulations pertinent to industrial operations
 - Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
 - First Aid/CPR certification
