SPAR Nigeria is seeking an experienced and dynamic Boutique Manager to lead our thriving Fashion & Apparel Department in Calabar. As the Boutique Manager, you will be the heart of our fashion division, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department’s operations, from merchandising and inventory control to team leadership and customer engagement. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the Fashion & Apparel Department, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve and surpass sales targets and profitability goals for the department.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee visual merchandising efforts to create attractive and engaging product displays that align with current fashion trends and brand standards.
- Conduct regular inventory management, including stock ordering, receiving, and reconciliation, to minimize losses and ensure optimal stock levels.
- Provide exceptional customer service, handle customer inquiries and complaints, and build strong customer relationships.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on sales performance, inventory, and staff performance for senior management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in retail management, specifically within the fashion or apparel sector.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities with a track record of motivating and developing staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with customers and team members.
- Demonstrable understanding of fashion trends, visual merchandising principles, and retail sales strategies.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).
- Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fashion retail, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience working with ERP systems or advanced POS software.
- Knowledge of local market dynamics and customer preferences in Calabar.
