Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, store, and issue materials, parts, and supplies according to established procedures.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform accurate data entry for all incoming and outgoing materials into inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with production, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Identify and report any damaged, defective, or incorrect materials.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks and other vehicles.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and documentation.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and using inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Understanding and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or aviation environment.
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Forklift certification.
- Knowledge of hazardous material handling procedures.
- Associate's degree or technical certification in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
