Job Description

Are you an experienced and highly skilled Aviation Mechanic looking for an immediate opportunity to apply your expertise to world-class business jets? Bombardier is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Aviation Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Blackpool, England. This is a critical on-site role that will see you performing essential maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks on our cutting-edge Challenger and Global aircraft. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on Bombardier Challenger and Global aircraft.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Interpret and apply technical data, maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
  • Ensure all work is completed in strict accordance with EASA/CAA regulations, manufacturer's specifications, and company quality standards.
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly, maintaining detailed records of repairs and inspections.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Valid EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (or equivalent CAA UK license) with B1 or B2 ratings.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Aviation Mechanic on turbine-powered aircraft, preferably business jets.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in aircraft systems troubleshooting and repair.
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for documentation and record-keeping.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Type ratings on Bombardier Challenger or Global aircraft families.
  • Experience working in an OEM service center or a reputable MRO facility.
  • Additional EASA/CAA Part-66 ratings (e.g., B2).
  • Familiarity with modern avionics systems.
  • Advanced diagnostic and fault isolation skills.
