Key Responsibilities
- Perform various assembly, fabrication, and manufacturing tasks on aerospace components and sub-assemblies following established procedures and blueprints.
- Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently.
- Inspect finished products and components for quality, completeness, and adherence to specifications, identifying and reporting defects.
- Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, blueprints, and manuals to ensure proper assembly and production processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading of parts and equipment as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and maintain workflow.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance skills and efficiency.
- Document work performed, including part numbers, quantities, and quality checks, accurately.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to work with small components and intricate assemblies.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment.
- Experience operating hand and power tools in a professional setting.
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards or quality systems.
- Technical certifications or vocational training in manufacturing or a related field.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
