Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various assembly, fabrication, and manufacturing tasks on aerospace components and sub-assemblies following established procedures and blueprints.
  • Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect finished products and components for quality, completeness, and adherence to specifications, identifying and reporting defects.
  • Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, blueprints, and manuals to ensure proper assembly and production processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading of parts and equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and maintain workflow.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance skills and efficiency.
  • Document work performed, including part numbers, quantities, and quality checks, accurately.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to work with small components and intricate assemblies.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment.
  • Experience operating hand and power tools in a professional setting.
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards or quality systems.
  • Technical certifications or vocational training in manufacturing or a related field.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
